Don’t miss this weekend at the beach if you are serious about publishing in the field of Science Fiction and Fantasy!  The event starts on Thursday evening, July 22, 2010 and ends on Sunday morning, July 25, 2010.

A Writer’s Weekend offers writers an excellent opportunity to make connections with people in the industry, get published, develop their craft and move their work to the next level.  This year’s Writer Gurus are Jay Lake and Hugo award winner David Levine.

Held at the Ocean Crest Resort on the Washington coast, this Thursday through Sunday workshop allows writers to have their work critiqued by published professionals in addition to plenty of free time for writing or revising.  Other craft classes will also be provided.

The cost of the weekend is shared equally by all registered attendees.  Each writer sends their share to the organizer – this year it’s $106.  Families are welcome, but workshops are limited to registered writers.  Each additional person is asked to contribute $20 toward the cost of the potluck.

You must have your contribution sent in by May 15, 2010 to reserve your seat.  Writing submissions are 15 pages and are due by June 15, 2010.  Seating is limited to 15 writers.  Because the resort has many stairs, this location may not be accessible to all writers.
